Polish Project at TorinoLab
The Script&Pitch workshop for screenwriters will start on March 11 in Krakow. The event is organized by TorinoFilmLab. One of the 16 projects submitted from 21 countries is a Polish project.
The Script&Pitch initiative consists of training for writers and story editors, and follows the entire scriptwriting process from pitching ideas up to a final pitch in front of film professionals from around the world at this year’s Torino Film Festival.

The Polish project to be developed at the Script&Pitch workshop is a screenplay entitled “Masakra profana”. It is the film adaptation of a novel with the same title; the script will be developed jointly by director/screenwriter Kristoffer Rus and the book’s author Jarosław Stawirej.
“Masakra profana” is the story of a successful brand manager in a major international corporation, who one day sees the Holy Mary. He is not too happy about that. But he doesn’t even begin to see the trouble that lies ahead as a result of his being the chosen one. The novel was published by Krytyka Polityczna.
