There are few Verbist Missionaries living on the Flores Island several miles east of Bali for over 40 years. Although they are of the Polish origin, the indigenous culture have influenced them strongly, leaving an imprint on their philosophy of life as well as on convictions regarding good and evil. The missionaries talk about their relations with the local people and changes they have gone through, and at the same time share an insight in a culture hardly known to the Western world, full of rituals and black magic.
