The gold rush. Somewhere in Siberia, people in search of the precious metal are pickaxing the ground inch by inch. We follow one of them: he lives alone in truly spartan conditions, armed with a walkie-talkie, a metal detector, a set of scales, and a shotgun. Each evening he meticulously records his, usually measly, daily gatherings. He has long lost his faith in people and come to the conclusion that the only thing that matters in life is gold…
