Poland 2016

A portrait of teenagers in the modern world. The script was inspired by real events that took place over a decade ago. The film is set in an average small town in present-day Poland. It is a day in the life of three 13-year-olds who are getting ready to celebrate the end of the school year. At first, the film shows each of the three characters in their home environment, carefully following their everyday routine. What begins as an innocent story leads to an unexpected and terrifying ending. Playground is a reserved contemplation of evil in today’s world.
