A clash between two women competing for primacy, leading to a fight for life. The main character, Delphine, is going through a hard time. On the one hand, she is suffering from classic postpartum depression, having just experienced the painful ‘birth’ of her new book, and on the other hand, she is also suffering from writer’s block. As Delphine’s depression deepens, a mysterious young woman named L. (Elle/She) starts to take advantage of her, insisting that her victim should abandon her banal ideas and devote herself to what is, in her opinion, the only true value in literature: that which feeds on raw naked truth. Delphine owes the world her “secret book”, which she mentioned once in an interview. Afraid of new torments, Delphine defends herself ferociously, but L. will stop at nothing to get the work from her.
