Poland 2009

At 9.37pm on 2 April 2005, millions of Poles switched off the lights at their homes in an unprecedented gesture of unity. This released an exceptional potential of emotional energy. At that particular moment, even miracles were possible. Three minutes mark a turning point in the protagonists’ lives.

A sensitive young man who cannot accept the violence that surrounds him and turns to violence himself. A film director who no longer wants to make movies and falls for his English teacher instead of grabbing the opportunity for a major international co-production. A painter trapped in a situation with no way out. A father who tries to protect his son from his own past. Those three minutes will bring their fates together.
