"Cold War" nominated for Swedish Film Awards
Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, Pawel Pawlikowski’s image “Cold War” has been nominated for Guldbaggen – the Swedish Film Awards. The winners will be announced on January 28th.
Nomination for “Cold War”
“Cold War” was among the three titles that have a chance for the Swedish Film Award in the category of Best Foreign Film. The other two titles are Spike Lee’s “BlacKklansman” and Hirokazu Koreeda’s “Shoplifters”. The winners will be announced on January 28th during the award ceremony, which will take place in Stockholm.
Guldbaggen prizes have been awarded since 1964. In previous years, three awards (the best film, the best director and the best supporting actor) went to co-financed by the Polish Film Institute full-length feature debut “The Here After” by Magnus von Horn. Last year, the award received Julia Kijowska for her supporting role in the Swedish film “Strawberry Days”.
“Cold War” is a Polish-British-French co-production. The Polish producer of the film is Ewa Puszczyńska from the Opus Film studio, the French producer MK Productions, and the British one – Apocalypso Pictures. The film co-financed, among others, Polish Film Institute.
“Cold War”, distributed by Kino Świat, has had over 900,000 admissions to date in Poland and is available on DVD, Blu-ray and VoD services.
