"Joanna" awarded in the USA

Joanna, a film directed by Aneta Kopacz and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received two awards at the Palm Springs International Shortfest, which closed on June 23.

In the Running for an Academy Award Nomination

Joanna was voted best short documentary film, and received the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau Grand Jury Prize. Thanks to these two awards, the film is now eligible for an Academy Award nomination.

Joanna Awarded in Macedonia

Aneta Kopacz’e multiple award winning documentary was produced by Wajda Studio with support from the Polish Film Institute, within the framework of the Dok Pro programme. Last weekend, in addition to the Palm Springs awards, Joanna also received the Special Jury Prize in the ‘Moral Approach Award’ category at the closing gala of the 5th MakeDox festival in Skopje, Macedonia.
