Polish Films in India

The Kinoteka Polish Film Festival in India launched on November 18 with a screening of A Little Poland in India, a Polish-Indian documentary co-production directed by Anu Radha. The film was an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and was co-produced by the National Audiovisual Institute, Telewizja Polska, India’s Doordharshan television, and the authorities of Gujarat.

Films Supported by the Polish Film Institute in Festival Lineup

Audiences of the Kinoteka festival in New Delhi and Mumbai will have an opportunity to see a selection of Polish films, including Wałęsa. Człowiek z nadziei (Wałęsa. Man of Hope) and Ziemia obiecana (The Promised Land), both by Andrzej Wajda, Iluminacja (Illumination) by Krzysztof Zanussi, and Mój rower (My Father’s Bike) by Piotr Trzaskalski.

The Kinoteka festival is organized by the Polish Institute in New Delhi, in co-operation with Habitat Film Club and the PVR cinema network.
