Polish Films in Yerevan

Four Polish films are featured in the lineup of the 9th Golden Apricot International Film Festival, which runs from July 7 through July 14, 2013 in Yerevan.

Zdjęcie (The Photograph) in Main Competition

The lineup of the Main Competition of the Golden Apricot festival features Zdjęcie (The Photograph), a film directed by Maciej Adamek and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. This Polish film will compete for the festival awards against twelve other entries. Films in this section will be judged by international jury members István Szabó (head of the jury), Andrei Plakhov, Tiina Lokk, Serge Avedikian, and Jay Weissberg.

Short Film Competition

The lineup of the festival’s International Short Film Competition (Apricot Stone) features three Polish films: Muka! (Boo!), directed by Kordian Kądziel (produced by the Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Department of the University of Silesia in Katowice); Matka (The Mother), directed by Łukasz Ostalski (produced by the Gdynia Film School), and Wielki skok (The Big Leap), a Polish-Swedish co-production directed by Kristoffer Rus (produced by Wajda Studio and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute).
