Two Polish animated series projects have qualified for screening at the Cartoon Forum, which will have its 24th edition between September 17 and September 20, 2013 in Toulouse.
The 24th edition of Cartoon Forum will feature two Polish animated series projects: Galaxi Taxi, produced by Fumi Studio, and Podróże na burzowej chmurze (The Eye Cloud Odyssey), produced by Filmograf and Studio Miniatur Filmowych. This year’s edition of Cartoon Forum will feature a total of 68 projects from around the world.
Galaxi Taxi, an animated series for young audiences, was created by Jan Steliżuk. The plot is set in outer space. The series’ protagonists are three individuals who are the crew of a galactic taxicab: one is Alien, who looks like a large blue mouse with disproportionately large ears, another is the stuffed wind-up Rabbit, and the third is the slimy Worm, who spends every free moment inside his apple.
Galaxi Taxi is a co-production between Poland, Germany and Finland, produced by Fumi Studio, J&P Studio Grafiki Filmowej, The Big B Animation, and Classic Hus. The project is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. A trailer for the series is available here.

Cartoon Forum is a prestigious industry event for the animated film industry: producers, distributors, and the media. Since 1990, the event has become very effective at fostering production of animated film projects. Ever year, dozens of films are submitted for the competition selection process. The chosen productions are pitched by their creators to media representatives, film producers and distributors in the form of 45-minute-long forum presentations.
