The backstage of the grand politics of World War II. The last days of General Sikorski’s life, shortly before the tragic crash in Gibraltar. The general, together with his daughter Zofia, and a team of his closest associates, stays at the palace of the Gibraltar Governor, Mason Macfarlane, who seeks to persuade Sikorski to hand over documents proving the murder of Polish Army officers in Katyń. When the general firmly refuses, the plan of his assassination is approved.
The circumstances of the death of General Sikorski have been widely discussed. The film is based on research conducted by Dariusz Baliszewski, according to which the Gibraltar tragedy was an effort to confuse, and General Sikorski was murdered.
