A story of the tragic fates suffered by the inhabitants of the Mazurian lakes region in the years following the Second World War. Due to anti-Nazi propaganda, the communist authorities in Poland treated them as second-class citizens.
Born in 1963. Director and screenwriter. Graduate of the Cinematography Department at the National Film School in Łódź. Documentary filmmaker, also directs commercials and music videos. Winner of multiple awards at film festivals in Poland and abroad for his features Wesele (The Wedding) i Dom zły (Dark House).
