Having experienced life’s misfortune, Stefan, a young man, tries to commit a suicide. Konstanty, a millionaire, is looking for a donor for a heart transplant. They both meet accidentally at hospital. Konstanty tries to keep up Stefan’s suicidal intentions in order to save his own life. All these attempts are mediated by Konstanty’s assistant, Angelo who is a man with a soul of a fallen angel…

 

Krzysztof Zanussi
Director, scriptwriter, and film producer. Laureate of numerous awards in Poland and abroad for his films and long-life professional achievements; received a number of honorary doctorate degrees of various universities, and a Knight of numerous orders (in Poland, Italy, and France). Professor at film academies, e.g. in Łódź, National Film School in United Kingdom, the Radio and Television Department of the University of Silesia. Directed plays in various theatres (e.g. in Milan, Palermo, Bonn, Kraków, Bremen and Basel).
Chairman of the European Federation of Audiovisual Producers (FERA). Consultant to the Pontifical Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church in Vatican; former chairman of EUROVISION; member of the European Film Academy Director of the TOR Film Studio
