During the Second World War, the Lower Silesian town of Sieniawka-Kleinschönau was the site of a labour camp. After the war, when the land was annexed to Poland, the former barracks were transformed into a psychiatric hospital. The aunt and grandfather of director Marcin Malaszczak worked at this hospital, and he himself lived there until he and his parents moved to Berlin.

A poetic film made in sci-fi aesthetic style.
