The film The First Day (Pierwszy dzień) by Marcin Sauter was awarded the Grand Prix at the 9th International Film Festival "Crossroads of Europe" in Lublin. The Special Award funded by the Polish Film Institue was presented by General Director Agnieszka Odorowicz to the film The Independent (Niezależni) by Jacek Talczewski.
