Films have been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The festival begins on September 22.

From the 6th September, The Polish Film Institute in cooperation with Warsaw Film Festival accepts submissions for a pitching session in the frame of Pitch & Meet. Warsaw Co-Production Meetings. Maciej Sobieszczański received award for Best Director at 41st World Film Festival in Montreal that run through September 4 for his feature debut The Reconciliation, a film co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

The Polish Film Institute has managed to secure EU funding for the digital restoration of the archives of Polish cinema. Over the next three years, Polish cinema will be almost entirely digitised.
