Award for the School Film Library

The School Film Library, or Filmoteka Szkolna, an educational programme of the Polish Film Institute, has been awarded the Platinum Goats - a special award of the 7th International Young Audience Film Festival. The festival will take place on December 6-13, 2009 in Poznań.

War Games in Amsterdam and on BBC

Polish Documentary Nominated

Atijat, the First Wife - the directorial debut by Anna Błaszczyk, produced by OTO Film Studio and TVP1, has been nominated for the prestigious Golden Panda Award, presented to the best documentary film at the International Documentary Film Festival in Sichuan, China. The festival took place on November 6-8, 2009.

New Film School in Gdynia

In October 2010, the first twelve students will begin studies at the Gdynia Film School. The school was established by the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia, in cooperation with the Łódź Film School. The Gdynia City Hall supported the project.
