10th Edition of 'Ekran'
March 31, 2014 marks the opening session of the tenth edition of the 'Ekran' International Programme, which will run through April 10. The programme is organized by the Wajda School.
March 25, 2014 marked the launch of an educational journey from Warsaw to Yangon in Myanmar. Over the course of six months, a travelling cinema known as 'Produkt krajowy' (Domestic Product) will promote Polish film art in villages and small towns. The event is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
9th Edition of A l’Est, du Nouveau
The ninth edition of A l'Est, du Nouveau, the only film festival in France dedicated exclusively to films from Central and Eastern Europe, will run from April 11 through April 18 in Mont-Saint-Aignan and Rouen. The festival will open with a screening of Wałęsa. Człowiek z nadziei (Wałęsa. Man of Hope) by Andrzej Wajda.
Polish Films at 33rd Istanbul IFF
Between April 5 and April 20, audiences of the 33rd Istanbul International Film Festival will have an opportunity to see the latest Polish films and explore Polish experimental animation.
6th Polish Film Spring in Utrecht
From April 11 to April 13, Dutch audiences will have an opportunity to see a selection of Polish films within the framework of the 6th Polish Film Spring in Utrecht.
Polish Films at Hot Docs
The lineup of this year's 21st edition of the Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival has been announced. The festival runs from April 24 through May 4, 2014 and features four Polish films.
Eurimages Supports Polish Doc
Zud (Polish title: Dziecko stepu, English title: Child of the Steppe), a documentary film directed by Marta Minorowicz, received financial support from Eurimages, the European film production fund. The film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
"The Island" in New York
March 19 marks the start of the 43rd edition of the New Directors/New Films festival in New York. The festival lineup features La Isla (Polish title: Wyspa; English title: The Island), a short film by Dominga Sotomayor and Katarzyna Klimkiewicz.
Polish Films at 2014 FebioFest
Several Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute are featured in the competition and out-of-competition lineup of the 21st edition of the FebioFest International Film Festival, which runs from March 20 through March 28, 2014.
"Moonshine" Wins Best Animation in Tampere
Moonshine, a film directed by Michał Poniedzielski and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received the award for Best Animated Film at the 44th Tampere International Film Festival in Finland.
"Ida": Excellent Reception in France
Ida, a film directed by Paweł Pawlikowski and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute was released theatrically in France on February 12, 2014. The third week of release marked over 288 thousand admissions in French cinemas. Ida also received rave reviews from French film critics.

A Good Year for "Fuck For Forest"
